ANSWER THE CALL.

In 2024, Big Sky Bravery was entrusted with a sacred gift from The Wayne & Nan Kocourek Foundation—85 acres in the heart of Big Sky, Montana. On this land, we are building the Big Sky Bravery Ranch: a sanctuary where America’s most elite warriors and their families can lay down their burdens, rediscover connection, and find strength to endure the battles seen and unseen. This ranch is more than a place—it is a promise. A promise that those who sacrifice the most will always have a refuge to return to, a place that will stand as a beacon of hope for generations.

Now, we invite you to stand with us. The future of this sanctuary depends on those willing to rise to the call and help build a legacy that will outlast us all. Your involvement ensures that every Special Operations warrior, spouse, and family member who walks through these doors finds healing, belonging, and the reminder that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. Together, we will anchor into the Montana landscape a living testament to courage, resilience, and freedom.

Rather than following traditional norms of legacy giving, The Big Sky Bravery Ranch is building something greater: a living legacy. Here, every contribution becomes part of a sanctuary that will restore, honor, and serve generations of Special Operations Forces and their families.

Every room in the house will carry more than comfort—it will carry a story. A plaque featuring the family who gave, paired with their words on why they chose to support this mission, will be displayed in each room. Their reasons—why they gave, why this cause, why now—will remind every warrior who enters that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

On every plaque, a QR code will offer recipients the chance to reach out directly to the family behind their room. With one scan, they can share their gratitude or simply say thank you. Donors can keep their contact information current, ensuring the connection between giver and recipient is always open, alive, and personal.

We believe it’s important for every donor to see the impact of their generosity in a tangible way. As part of your legacy, you’ll receive a priority tour of the Ranch lodge—a VIP, open look behind the scenes. Here, your contributions will take center stage, showing exactly how your support provides restoration and hope for America’s most elite warriors and their families.

But the work they do demands more. This thoughtfully designed room will provide a quiet, peaceful environment where up to six volunteers can enjoy restorative, uninterrupted sleep, ensuring they’re fully energized to support our recipients and carry out the crucial work of saving and changing lives. Each volunteer will have: a personal sleeping space with drawers to settle in, a privacy curtain to reduce light and noise, and access to private bathroom stalls and a shared vanity area. More than just a room, this is a place of refuge and recharge, honoring the sacrifice of those who show up for others, day in and day out.

More than just a recreational feature, these trails serve a deeper purpose: to allow those who have experienced our programs to pass along the joy, freedom, and connection they found here to their children.
